Yo peeps!

The countdown till finals and break is ticking away, and all the GCC students are racing around, trying to finish the semester strong. Whether you're at GCC, another college, or somewhere else, I'm sure the pressure is on in your life. This is busy time of year, and it's so easy to let ourselves get in the worrying mode. But I challenge you to focus your attention on God and the true joy and hope that we have through Jesus. Christmas is one time of year that we traditionally associate with Jesus' birth. So why did Jesus come to earth as a baby? Why did the long-awaited Messiah life a humble life, amidst sinners, and suffer so much? I'll let you answer those questions yourself. Just make sure and take time to pray and think about Him, because "Jesus is the reason for the season." He's the reason for every season - so draw near to God this Christmas and the rest of your life.

I hope that you're all having a lovely week! It's going by fast for me, as most of them do. Happy 2-month "anniversary," Joel! :) (And the English majors attack Libby again for saying "month anniversary," since ani is the prefix for year.) Ja. Word???

~Lib

p.s. I do not support Rastafarianism - the word "ja" just sounds cool. Sorry if it offends you.

Song of the day: "Tremble" - Nichole Nordeman
