Howdy folks!

Today has been pretty busy, but it's going to be so nice to be done w/ my test tomorrow afternoon! This evening I was talking to an old friend of mine; his name is Mike, and his family were missionaries in San Pedro, Belize. (That's how I know him.) He was telling me a story that it definitely worthy of being posted, so here it is:


michcarp84: right. OH MAN! did I tell you what happened to me??
Lib Master G: nope... ?
michcarp84: alright
michcarp84: I was driving home from a fraternity meeting.
michcarp84: fell asleep and drove my SUV off a bluff, into a creek. it was like a 20 foot drop
michcarp84: I should be dead, but I got a serious amount of God's grace
michcarp84: it was CRAZY
Lib Master G: wow!
michcarp84: I had to go to the ER in an ambulance and everything, everybody was FREAKING out
michcarp84: I thought I had brain damage or something, I was just sure something was gonna be broken
Lib Master G: but your neck was hurt, right?
michcarp84: yeah, a little. nothing serious
Lib Master G: ok
Lib Master G: when did you wake up?
michcarp84: when I was about to run off the cliff
michcarp84: it was sooo scary

Lib Master G: did your car flip? that's how to pictures look
michcarp84: oh yeah, when I flew off the cliff, it hit nose first into the ground and flipped into the water
michcarp84: if you've seen Vanilla Sky, the part where Cameron Diaz drives her and Tom Cruise off the bridge. that's what it was like
michcarp84: know what I mean?
Lib Master G: i can envision it, although I haven't seen the movie
Lib Master G: were you on a busy road so people saw you?
michcarp84: nobody
michcarp84: I waited for 20 minutes until I could flag somebody down
Lib Master G: so you got out yourself?
Lib Master G: was the creek deep?
michcarp84: knee deep
michcarp84: I climbed up the bluff, yeah
michcarp84: I was under water
Lib Master G: oh my gosh
Lib Master G: was your seatbelt on?
michcarp84: oh yeah. I'm telling you, God spared me

michcarp84: it was an eye opening experiance
Lib Master G: ya, i'll bet life seems a lot more valuable now
michcarp84: it does


When I asked Mike if I could post this on my blog, he reponded, "just tell them that it was your actor, rugby player friend (who is single and very handsome) that did it." So there you have it, ladies. :)
