Woke up too early
It's going to be a cold, rainy day in Grove City. So sad. I guess this weather is evidence of the fact that fall is on its way, and to me that is a bummer.
Right now I'm sitting here, listening to Butterfly Kisses on my headphones. It's kind of a depressing song. I need to stop giving myself 50 minutes to get ready, because I obviously don't need all that time. There seems to be a recent theme in my blogging... It only happens at the strangest hours of the day. :)
Oooo... New song! Nicole C. Mullen's "When I Call on Jesus." Well, I'm gonna pack up my stuff for class. I hope y'all have an amazing day!

Diet Coke with Lime is simply amazing when it's so cold that the top turns slushy. But seriously, who would be stupid enough to drink caffeinated pop at 2:00 in the morning? Well my friends, not all of us are that logical. I guess there's just a lot to think about these days, and what better time to do that than the middle of the night? :)
I guess it's been a while since I last posted. I've been back here at Grove City College for the past week: acquiring a quality education in a thoroughly Christian environment at an affordable cost. I have noticed a change in the social dynamics since coming to GCC for the first time. Freshmen year, the work was so overwhelming and I spent too much time on it. And ever since, the focus has shifted from academics to friendships. The academics are part of being here, but friendships are the what keep me coming back.
It's so nice to return to a place that is familiar and comfortable, a place where you can just pick up where you left off. GCC has become a sort of second home, which is strange to say since in previous years I have struggled so much with homesickness. But I guess that it's different this year... Part of it is probably just getting older and more confident. Part of it is knowing so many people here. Part of it is being loved by friends, and loving them back like they're my own sisters. Part of it is the excitement of a new year and memories to be made.
I love the fact that wherever I go, God is with me. He is so good, and I will never grasp the extent to which that is true. Yet He still hears my little prayers, and He answers them! He rules over all the nations, but He knows how many hairs are on my head. It's like the Nichole Nordeman song, "Oh Great God, be small enough to hear me now" (I think that it's called "Small Enough"). I won't get going on my Nichole schpeal... I'll just say that she is amazing and everyone should listen to her music for the lyrics.
So now that you've had a taste of my disoriented, late-night thinking, it's time for bed. I don't think that the caffeine in my system is gonna be a problem... I'm wiped out. So anywho, this is going to be a very interesting semester. I can't wait to see what God's going to do!!
You Grovers (I hate that term), keep the studying in perspective. I'm sure that I'll be seeing "y'all" around. And the rest of you peeps, come visit me! :)

Wow! I just can't believe that this summer is almost over... It seems like Dad just picked me up from college after my Sensation & Perception final. Yet so much has happened in the past few months...
I've met my Maker in a whole new way, and I've learned a lot about myself. I've reconnected with old friends from high school, and I've had some amazing times with my buds from GCC. I've cried until all the tears were gone. I've laughed so hard that I could no longer breathe. I've gone on road trips with friends; and more surprisingly, I went country line-dancing. (For the record, I still hate country music.) This summer has been a transition into the rest of my life. I still don't know what God has planned for me, but man am I stoked! Life is good, God is good, and our days here are numbered...so live life. Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (check out John 10:9-10)

Social Life and a Tangerine
The world must be coming to an end, because Libby has a social life again. Yes, my friends, it's true. After a couple weeks of boringness, the old gang is back in the groove, and I'm lovin' it.
For those of you who haven't heard, I painted my room "tangerine" last week. I really like the change, which is not customary for me. I usually resist change, but who could say no to a radiant orange room? Not me.
This week we have a family living in our basement. They moved to Indiana last summer, and their eldest son stayed at a friend's house for his senior year. Well, they decided to come back for graduation week, so they're down in the basement. It's not much of an imposition, though, and they're nice, so it's cool.

Home for the summer...
Yeah, so last night on the way home from GCC, we hit a huge thunderstorm. Lots of my stuff (in the back of my Dad's truck) got pretty wet, but nothing important was damaged.
I started work today, but it still seems like I am just home for one of those little 4-day breaks. I guess reality has not yet struck. But I already miss my girls!!! I miss Wheat Thins tag, tons of walks to Wal-Mart and County Market, the plethera of girls' nights, taking over each others' computers and IMing random people, the prank-wars, attacking Andrea, making Amy eat weird things, listening to Jen tell her stories, and knowing that I can talk to my friends anytime I want/need to. But I will NOT go long without seeing "y'all" this summer!
Weird... My mom is in the kitchen singing "You Raise Me Up." I can't escape that Josh Groban dude.
Oh, and for those of you who don't know how to check your grades before they are posted on campusweb, YOU CAN do it. Log in to campus web and go to "My Schedule." Then highlight the word "schedule" in the address bar and type in "grade_report" where the word "schedule" was. You can do that to see your grades as your profs turn them in. I guess it's just a little quark in the system. Check it out.
Well, my Mom and I are going to my brother's baseball game in a few minutes, so I'm gonna split. Let the summer begin! Later.
