Social Life and a Tangerine

The world must be coming to an end, because Libby has a social life again. Yes, my friends, it's true. After a couple weeks of boringness, the old gang is back in the groove, and I'm lovin' it.

For those of you who haven't heard, I painted my room "tangerine" last week. I really like the change, which is not customary for me. I usually resist change, but who could say no to a radiant orange room? Not me.

This week we have a family living in our basement. They moved to Indiana last summer, and their eldest son stayed at a friend's house for his senior year. Well, they decided to come back for graduation week, so they're down in the basement. It's not much of an imposition, though, and they're nice, so it's cool.

I hope you are enjoying the summer so far!!! Thanks for reading my boring blog!

To my Mom's defense, she was singing the Selah version of "You Raise Me Up," not the Josh Groban version... Phew. Later.

Home for the summer...

Yeah, so last night on the way home from GCC, we hit a huge thunderstorm. Lots of my stuff (in the back of my Dad's truck) got pretty wet, but nothing important was damaged.

I started work today, but it still seems like I am just home for one of those little 4-day breaks. I guess reality has not yet struck. But I already miss my girls!!! I miss Wheat Thins tag, tons of walks to Wal-Mart and County Market, the plethera of girls' nights, taking over each others' computers and IMing random people, the prank-wars, attacking Andrea, making Amy eat weird things, listening to Jen tell her stories, and knowing that I can talk to my friends anytime I want/need to. But I will NOT go long without seeing "y'all" this summer!

Weird... My mom is in the kitchen singing "You Raise Me Up." I can't escape that Josh Groban dude.

Oh, and for those of you who don't know how to check your grades before they are posted on campusweb, YOU CAN do it. Log in to campus web and go to "My Schedule." Then highlight the word "schedule" in the address bar and type in "grade_report" where the word "schedule" was. You can do that to see your grades as your profs turn them in. I guess it's just a little quark in the system. Check it out.

Well, my Mom and I are going to my brother's baseball game in a few minutes, so I'm gonna split. Let the summer begin! Later.

CHEESE IS SO GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. Joe O. and Dave H. - I saw some disturbing pictures! Eww...
Thank God for blogs...they're a marvelous tool for procrastinating!

Study day at Grove City College. For most it translates into some extra time to hit the books, for some it means that they can sleep in one last time before finals start, and for the rest of us study day is an opportunity to mess around with friends for hours on end. Whether or not we wanted to goof off all day, that is what happened. Exploding cookies was my personal favorite moment, but many good times were had.

And the weekend looks promising for some more of that... Without thinking, I told Matt online that Amy and I have asked our friends to duct tape us to something in public, like a flagpole or tree or something. (Well, we didn't exactly ask them...we just said that we wouldn't put up a fight if they did it to us.) Matt then told Joe about this, and they decided that Saturday would be a good time to duct tape us. So yeah, sounds fun, huh? I'll have to remember to wear long sleeves so that my arm hair doesn't get ripped out.

Amy, Andy, and Kristin are all taking their first final at this very moment. Civ Arts is an easy final, so I'm sure they'll be alright. I, however, plan on getting torn apart by my upcoming finals. My lack of motivation to study is not going to help either. Oh well...5 days 'till summer!!!

On that note, I am going to try to get something done in the next few hours. Some of you are already done with finals, some are just finishing them up, and then there's us grovers. (Almost there...) No matter where you are on your finals schedule, have a great day! Thanks for bearing with me and reading my boring blog. :) Peace out.

Andrea and I walked to Walmart this afternoon in order to fully experience that beautiful weather. A little later in the evening, we ended up walking there again with Jen and Amy. So today was the day of Walmart...it was so great! None of us really needed anything. We ended up buying tons of bulk candy (mostly bridge mix and chocolatey stuff)and eating it as we walked.

Now over the last couple years, we've noticed a strange little quark of Grove City... Men really like to cat call. I personally find this repulsive (it almost triggers my gag reflex). When Andy and I went earlier in the day, we only had one person yell at us; but when we brought Amy and Jen along we had a total of 5 honks, 1 whistle, and 2 cat calls. It must be something about those girls that makes hickish men honk, yell, and whistle. :) I guess Amy and Jen are just mullet magnets!!!

So is anyone else struggling to get work done these days? I have TONS of reading to catch up on before Friday, but I seem to have lost all motivation. It's really bad... I've just reached that point in the semester where you stop caring. My brain is on summer break. Oh well. Things always work out somehow, by God's grace.

Today a friend gave me his network name, and I listened to a whole bunch of new, really cool music. I'm stoked, cause now I have a whole bunch of new CDs that I need to buy this summer! YAY! Well, back to that psych assessment reading... :(
